Our Mission

IntelliAbility is dedicated to transforming dementia care through the Preserved Abilities Method™—a person-centered, strength-based dementia care approach that focuses on what remains, not what is lost.

By identifying and building on each individual’s unique abilities, we empower professionals and families to support aging in place with dignity, comfort, and meaningful connection.

Grounded in compassion and guided by real-world application, our approach fosters engagement, reduces frustration, and brings greater ease and purpose to care—through every stage of the journey.

Expanding the Vision: From Survey to Strength-Based Support

Our work is grounded in a simple but transformative idea: people living with dementia still have abilities worth recognizing and honoring.

This belief led to the development of the Preserved Abilities Method™—a structured, strength-based dementia care approach to identifying and building on what remains.

The M.I. Care Survey and Plan™ was created as the first tool to apply this method—helping care teams and families clearly identify preserved abilities and use them to guide more meaningful, effective care.

We continue to build on this foundation with new solutions designed to bring the method into everyday care—expanding access, consistency, and real-world impact across settings.
